I often think about how the people God brings into my life are like threads in that tapestry. Last year I had a cool experience of having a student who had an adult assistant, Josh. Josh is also a youth pastor in the area and I have been so encouraged by hearing about his ministry. I never would have expected an opportunity to share my faith with students in Gaston County, but God has provided that opportunity to me. I'll be speaking to Josh's youth group tomorrow night about listening to God's call and being willing to follow him, even if it means leaving where we are comfortable.
Another thread in my life is a dear family who became my second family when I moved to Gastonia. Mark and Betsy invited me in on my first Sunday at First ARP Church and have included me in family celebrations since then. Mark's parents invited me to speak at their church next week during their adult Vacation Bible School. I'm so excited to share how God has worked in my life. It's amazing to see how God's work in my life connects through my friendships.
