I was in desperate need of lotion. My little travel lotion from the US was running out and I didn't want to keep borrowing lotion from other people. So I bought this rose lotion.
Notice that the label says lotion. I was excited to get some rose scented lotion! Bulgaria is known for roses and I was ready to fit in! When I first used it, I was getting ready for bed and my roommate was already asleep, so the lights were off. I was surprised to find that it was a liquid similar to water, but I rubbed it into my hands, thinking that it must be a type of rose oil. It smelled divine and my hands were so smooth!
The next time I used my rose lotion, I again thought it was odd that it was a liquid that dried very quickly. Surely something with an alcohol base (the quick drying part) was not something that would moisturize my skin! So I did what I should have done at the store before buying it. I found the English on the back of the label and the directions for use. Turns out, my lotion was actually makeup remover!
