Starbucks or Walmart are often the sources of my triggers. I expect one thing, and often I end up experiencing something totally different. For example, this Starbucks in Brussels looks nothing like any other store I've ever seen. Yet, I'm sure if I went inside, the menu would be in English. There's two levels of culture shock there for me.
- I expect Starbucks to have a menu in another language, since I'm not in an English speaking country.
- I've become used to going to cafes with friends in Bulgaria and sitting for several hours. Often my time in Starbucks in the US is spent alone with my computer.
