Something similar happened to me the other day, but this time it was during the day and the bus wasn't headed for the depot. I was amazed at the difference a few months can make in feeling comfortable in a new culture. The bus driver shouted something (my Bulgarian still isn't good enough to understand everything) and people started getting off the bus. I followed them, and discovered that we were just switching to the other trolly-bus 5 that had pulled up to the stop behind our bus. It was so nice to be calm and relaxed, even though I didn't understand the language. It helped to have other people to follow!
The first post I wrote about the bus can be read Taking the Bus.
