I learned (and in some cases was reminded of things in my passive dictionary) how to talk about my belongings being shipped to Bulgaria, how to say that I want an apartment with space for people to visit me and one or two roommates, how to tell people that I missed them, and a few other things to talk about my time in the US.
One of the most interesting things I learned is that the Bulgarian word for independent is made by adding the word without to the verb depend and then adding a noun ending. My teacher pulled the verb out of the word so I could see how the word was constructed, and then told me that by removing the word without you are left with a verb that means to be addicted. It's amazing how intricate Bulgarian is!
